“The world’s most comfortable shoe” is now on Newbury Street.
Allbirds, a San Francisco-based start-up, has brought its sustainable shoes to Newbury Street with its fifth global brick-and-mortar shop.
“Having had great success with our first stores in San Francisco and New York, Boston was a natural next step in our expansion,” said Allbirds co-founder Tim Brown to the Boston Herald in an email. “We’ve had our eye on Newbury Street for quite a while, and we’re thrilled to be moving into the neighborhood.”
The Newbury Street store is celebrating it’s new Boston home with a pop of green in the store — in honor of the Celtics and Fenway Park — as well as Boston-specific laces, free to every customer. The unique Boston laces will be “brownstone brown, blue to represent the Charles River, and green for the ‘Green Monster’ left field wall at Fenway Park ”
