Please join us this Sunday, at the Alice and Olivia store at 166 Newbury Street.
Uncommon Threads’ mission is to use clothes and image as the tools for boosting women’s self-esteem, self-confidence and self-worth. Clients are referred by social service and health professionals who work with domestic violence survivors, disabled women, women in recovery, female veterans and low income women. Clients will receive a private styling session with one of our “volunteer stylists”, where they will learn their best styles and colors and get advice on how to dress to project a positive image. They will get up to four complete outfits suitable for their lifestyle. Our goal is for them to leave the boutique feeling empowered, nurtured, beautiful and confident. We have major plans for the future including self-esteem workshops and mentoring!
